YIPPEE ProČ
 is an easy-to-use add-in for autodesk Inventorź 8, 9, and 10 that makes the arduous and time-consuming task of editing and managing the iProperties of Inventor files easy. It displays, in a familiar spreadsheet-type interface, the iProperties of the currently-edited component. If this is an assembly, the iProperties of all the components and subcomponents of the assembly are displayed. Which iProperties are displayed are, of course, completely customizable.
YIPPEE ProČ was first designed to be a direct replacement for the rather dysfunctional "Bill of Material" command in the assembly environment. This command displays the selected iProperties of the components, but they aren't editable. In YIPPEE ProČ, nearly every iProperty is fully editable. When you create a parts list in a drawing in Inventor, where does it get the information? From the iProperties of the files. To properly modify the data that appear in a parts list, the components in question must first be opened in Inventor, then the information must be edited with the built-in iProperty pages. Wouldn't it be a lot easier if the parts list could be edited directly? "It can, right-click on it and select 'Edit Parts List'," you say? Editing the data in a parts list in this manner does not modify the properties of the components. They are merely overrides and will revert back to their prior values the next time the parts list is updated. How many times have you used a standard part (rectangular tubing, for example) and manually input the dimensions of the tubing into an iProperty? And then how many times have you changed the dimensions of the tubing during the design process only to find out later that you forgot to change it in the parts list, and the purchasing department bought the wrong stock material, etc. How often is it necessary for you to fill an iProperty (Vendor, for example) of a group of components with the same value? You have to open the iProperty pages for each component, one-at-a-time, and Copy/Paste the value into the appropriate iProperty.
